摘要

台灣屬於一個多元化的社會，特別是近十年間，增加近五十萬的外籍新移民更是替台灣的族群增加更多元化的接觸，對於一個國家的民主成熟與否，我們可以從對待少數族群的態度以及彼此間的文化認同來觀察；族群融合是每個國家在制度建立的過程中必須正視的重要問題，由於不同種族在文化風俗及生活習慣上大相逕庭，我們應該深入探討不同族群及文化的差異性，打從心底彼此尊重以及包容與欣賞，每一種文化都是我們國家重要的資產，除了重視這些特色族群外，也應避免政客為選情挑起民族對立，鼓譟人民情緒。而本文主要是探討西方族群意識，以臺灣為例，探究影響臺灣島內族群意識差異的發展與歷史事件，更希望能夠透過本文的研究，使內地同胞們能對於臺灣族群情況更加瞭解之外，也讓臺灣島內同胞對內部族群情況能以同理心來看待不同族群以及相互包容尊重，以期待臺灣內部能開創出更和諧的族群關係，兩岸同胞間能夠更加地融合。

Taiwan belongs to a diversified society. Especially in last decade, Taiwan's population increased by nearly half a million foreign immigrants increases that the Taiwan's people contact diversified cultures and groups. Racial integration in every country is an important issue which must be formally recognized in the process of building systems. Because the customs and lifestyles among different races are considerably dissimilar, we ought to probe into the discrepancy among different races and cultures. Also, we should respect and tolerate those discrepancies from the bottom of our hearts. Every culture is considered an important asset of our country. In addition to emphasizing those distinguishing races, we simultaneously should avoid stirring up racial opposition or inciting public emotion from happening only for the purpose of benefiting some politicians' elections. This article is mainly discussing about the national conscious concepts and the development of national conscious and the historical events of ethnic grouping in Taiwan Island. By discussing this issue, the author plans to make China people understand national conscious in Taiwan and build the peaceful relation between Cross Strait Relation.
