This paper intend s to analyze the awarded works of YA fiction sponsored by Hung Chien-chuan's Foundation. It lays emphasis on "nostalgia and reality", and is divided into four parts: bearing witness to social changes, recording traditional customs, discussing the functions of the works and rationalizing "argumentation". In the conclusion, the paper talks about several shortcomings in the works mentioned above, including the ambiguous uses of viewpoints, confusing telling with showing and authors' intrusion. Generally speaking, those who hope to become versed in writing YA novels will have a long way to go.
