童玩游藝與兒童文化

Toys and Games and Children Culture

摘要


文化是一種生活模式與價值系統;遊戲則是一種消遣形式和學習管道。由於現代兒童與其上一代的童年生活比較差異頗大,本研究視上下兩代之間童年文化之改變為「跨文化」的現象,探討傳統玩具和遊戲在現代童年生活中應有的角色定位與功能意義,以及從教育者的角度我們應有的投入態度與開發方向發現結合「教育」(Education)和「消遣」(Entertainment)兩種概念的「休閒性教育」(Edutainment)已經是一種新的教育走向和趨勢,本研究建議將童玩與教育結合作實用性的探究,讓傳統兒童文化以嶄新的形式再次活躍於今日的童年生活中。如此不但可以豐富今日兒童的生活文化,同時也增益他們的學習管道。進而提出一項值得我們去探究,發展,推廣的非正式教育新興研究領域,並名之為「游藝學」-透過童玩的兒童教育,也是傳統童玩應用於現代教育之道。

"Culture" is a mode of life as well as a mode of value system. On the other hand, "Play" is a form of entertainment as well as a way of education. Today's children are living in a world which changes so rapid and these changes are so huge in scale, that their childhood life is much different from that of the last generation's. Viewing these tremendous changes as a "cross-culture" phenomenon, this study try to re-define the role and value of traditional toys and games in the Life of today's childhood, and to find directions we can take for further studies. As we learned that "Edu-tainment"-which combined concepts of "Education and "Entertainment s an up-and- coming educational approach, we found that traditional toys and games would be potentially valuable educational tools for today's education. In order to fulfill this potential value, it is important for us to pay more attentions and bring out more researches on this unique topic. Therefore, we suggest direction for study and a new a new territory in the field of educational research, namely "U-E Play". This is a new type of informal education research that focuses on exploring appropriate strateges to bring cultural produces of yesterday's child- hood into the life of today's children, and studying practical approaches to apply traditional toys and games into modern education.
