Gender equality is one of the critical social issues in present days. Although lots of positive results achieved, there is a need to put theory into practice through aspects of educational systems. This paper shows distinct gender stereotypes in texts of children's literature through research reports concerning gender issues in children's literature. Furthermore, the indicators to tell the texts of gender equality would be established. Besides, this paper illustrates the strategies to carry out gender equality in the classroom and appends a checklist for sexism in children's literature for teachers to choice suitable reading materials. It is agreed that reading children's literature is a way for children to understand social issues in modem times . Writers for children should subvert the sole value of traditional society and expound profoundly the topics of their works. In this way; the children, living in multicultural society, creating the future , would be capable of rethinking.
