We could get several typical retold texts through a reading experiment of the Japanese-version picture-book "After leaving away the eggshell", among different age and different gender readers. Contrast with the original, we find, children and adults read picture-book in different ways. And they share differential story and connotation which offered by the same picture-book. Due to the gender, scholar background and disposition, picture-books would be taken different looks when deduced by different readers, they can't return to the works' original states only by reading the pictures. As a integration consists of pictures and words, some features manifested, such as conceptual, abstractive, symbolic, suggestive, polysemous in picture-books in a certain degree. Varied reading reaction would be appeared in reading picture-books.
