This thesis focuses on the poet Gao Qingqiu of the Ming Dynasty. In Wenyuan Biography of Ming History(《明史.文苑傳》), the poetry of the Ming Dynasty and the Chinese history written by Chinese Literature, Gao Qingqiu was known as an outstanding poet in the early Ming Dynasty. Gao Qingqiu was promoted to the representative of the Ming Dynasty in the work of Meiji Japan's "History of Chinese Literature". In the writing of history of Chinese Literature, he obtained high reputation as Sima Qian(司馬遷), Li Bai(李白), Du Fu(杜甫). By examining the trend of the late Han Dynasty poetry in the Edo period to Meiji, this paper tries to reveal how Gao Qingqiu was given high evaluation in the "History of Chinese literature".
