In 2015, the imported-vehicle market share of Taiwan gradually increased. The top three domestic-sale vehicle manufacturers were Kuozui, Yulon and China-motor. The Taiwan's export performance of 2015 was affected by global OEM production strategy. Main vehicle export partners were in Middle East. In 2015, Taipei has the largest number of licensed vehicles; Chiayi has the highest growth rate of licensed vehicles; Taichung has the largest number of registered vehicles; and Kinmen and Matsu area has the highest growth rate of registered vehicles. Government subsidy policy on new car purchase, legislation on tire pressure detector installation and the oil price slump will all help improve vehicle sales. Estimated vehicle sales of Taiwan in 2016 will exceed 430,000.
