In order to reduce the time and cost of trial manufacturing or prototyping precision stamping parts, an innovative precision stamping system which can rapidly punch sheet metals to create various workpieces is proposed. The system consists of a punching module, a materials carriage and a turret device. The materials carriage is an X-Y bi-directional motion platform that its motions are controlled by two independent servo motors. Therefore, the proposed stamping system can punch most various patterns by programming CNC system and arranging the various motions of the punching module and the materials carriage. Moreover, the turret device, which is also controlled by CNC system, can store a number of punch tools. Together the proposed system can automatically change the type of punch such as cutting, bending, and so on.
