Industrial Applications of Private 5G Network and Cyber Security System for Factories

摘要

5G專網有別於一般商用行動通訊網路，是建立在專用頻段，專為企業內部、特殊場所應用服務的5G網路系統。5G專網將為工業應用帶來新契機，舉凡設備物聯網、遠端技術服務、協同工程等技術，都是實現未來智慧製造工廠不可或缺的技術。另外5G提供高可靠度、低延遲的無線通訊將改變工業控制系統、設備組態乃至於產線佈局的樣貌。萬物聯網的5G時代更對於生產體系的資訊安全帶來新的挑戰，設備認證、數據加密、廠區人員及裝置權限控管、主動式防禦機制都是未來工廠必不可少的資安技術。本文收集國內外5G發展應用趨勢及未來規劃，並介紹工研院智慧製造技術驗證場域實作5G網路及資安機制的成果以做為未來業界進行產線數位轉型的參考。

Different from commercial mobile network, the private 5G network is constructed on top of dedicated frequency bandwidth and can provide services for enterprise's internal and particular locations. Private 5G network brings new opportunities for industrial applications such as IOT, remote service, and collaborative engineering. Its characteristics such as ultra-reliable, low latency will change the paradigm of industrial control, machine configuration as well as factory floor layout. On the other hand, 5G and IOT will also introduce new challenges on cyber-security. Device certification, data encryption, personnel and machine operation authorization, and active protection mechanism are necessary technologies for factories of the future. In this article, domestic and worldwide development and application trends are collected and reviewed. Current achievements on the implementation of 5G network and cyber security system at the verification site by ITRI are also being introduced. These achievements and implementations can provide companies as reference for their planning on digital transformation of production lines.
