Using Persistent Identifier for IoT Data Stream Management

摘要

Temporal sensor data are the core of internet of things applications. As the number of connected sensors grows, the data streams and resources to be managed are also multiplied. In this experiment, we adopts three RDA working group recommendations for resolving discovery and provenance issues of research data: persistent identifiers (PID), PID information type (PIT) registration, and Data Type Registration (DTR). We incorporate these modules into the data management framework and that give us means to assign and track data streams. Through the framework we provides following functionalities to the users: (1) Assign PIDs to stream data objects for long term preservation and discovery; (2) Generate and register data types information from RDA PIT/DTR output to improve data interoperability; (3) Help users to produce interactive map of air quality monitors
