TWAREN網路上基於SDN與NFV的資源調度器之設計與實作

摘要


軟體定義網路(Software Defined Network, SDN)以及網路功能虛擬化(Network Functions Virtualization, NFV)技術的出現為ICT資通訊網路產業發展帶來顛覆性的變革。本研究以歐洲電信標準化協會國際標準組織ETSI提出的NFV架構框架為參考,與中央大學、成功大學及國家高速網路中心合作,共同建置一個大型智能SDN/NFV跨網域測試平台Linct (Large-scale Intelligent NFV/SDN Cross-domain Testbed)並藉由本研究所設計與實作的NFV資源調度器-Linct Orchestrator來監測NFVI與VNF的資源利用率與系統狀況。此外,本研究也針對NFVI負載均衡提出以向量運算為基礎的VNF部署機制(Vector-Based VNF Deployment Mechanism for NFVI Load Balance,VBVD)機制,可依據各NFVI目前的資源利用率進行計算,選擇最適合部署VNF之NFVI,以達到資源利用最佳化及避免資源超載。

Both Software Defined Network (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) technologies bringing significant impact to the development of ICT. The research refers to the NFV Architecture Framework of the ETSI, and works with the National Central University (NCU), National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC) to build a Largescale Intelligent NFV / SDN Cross-domain Testbed (Linct), and design and implement a Linct orchestrator to monitor the resource utilization and system status of NFVI and VNFs. In addition, this paper also proposes a vector-based VNF deployment mechanism for NFVI load balancing which can be used to select the most suitable NFVI to deploy VNF according to the current resource utilization, so as to optimize resource utilization and avoid resource overload.
