運用教學技巧提升護理師化學治療靜脈給藥操作過程正確率

Applying Teaching Skills to Improve the Accuracy Rate of Nursing Procedures Related to Intravenous Chemotherapy Administration

摘要


背景:化學治療(化療)藥品屬高風險性用藥,執行化療藥品治療時,需兼顧護理師與病人安全,某新成立病房護理師化學治療靜脈給藥操作過程正確率僅74.3%,確認正確率低之主因為:化療靜脈給藥標準作業認知不足、未落實化療靜脈給藥安全防護、單位缺乏完整的化療教育訓練計畫、新進護理師比例高、化療臨床教師不足及缺乏化療安全查核機制。目的:提升護理師化學治療靜脈給藥操作過程正確率由74.3%至94.9%。解決方案:規劃教育訓練課程,包含運用教學技巧含翻轉教室及網路教學平台、培訓化療臨床教師、納入單位品管監測指標及制定查核機制。結果:護理師化學治療靜脈給藥操作過程正確率可由74.3%提升至96.1%,同時亦提升安全防護自信心,改善成效良好。結論:建議善用教學策略及資源,發展不同類型的教案,可提升學習動機及專業技能,進而提升病人照護品質。

Background: Chemotherapy drugs are highly reactive and cytotoxic. The safety of nurses and patients should be considered when implementing chemotherapy administration procedures. In a newly established medical ward, the accuracy rate of chemotherapy administration among nurses was 74.3%. The main issues are the following: insufficient knowledge of chemotherapy administration procedures, indifference about safe handling of chemotherapy, insufficient education, a high proportion of newly recruited nurses and insufficient clinical preceptors, and scarce audits. Purpose: The purpose of this project was to increase the accuracy of nursing procedures related to chemotherapy administration from 74.3% to 94.9%. Methods: The following procedures were implemented: planning and providing an educational program on the safe handling of chemotherapy including flipped classrooms and online teaching platforms, training qualified clinical instructors, and developing quality control monitoring as well as scheduled audits. Results: The accuracy rate of chemotherapy administration increased from 74.3% to 96.1%. Conclusions: Educational programs can concurrently enhance nurses' self-confidence in safety protection and improve learning motivation and professional skills.
