《三國吳諱鉤沉》補

A Supplementary Note to "An Investigation into Wu Taboos"

並列摘要

In "An Investigation into Wu Taboos" we examined only the taboo of the graphs 堅 and 權 in the portion of the Huainan zi with Xu Shen's commentary, but this part of the text taboos also the graph 和, which was the name of one of Sun Quan's 孫權 sons. Although he was Sun Quan's heir for some years, he was put aside in the end. But because his son Hao 晧, became the king of Wu, he was given the posthumous title of Wen Huangdi 文皇帝 in 264. As the Huainan zi with Xu Shen's commrntary taboos the annexation the graph 和, it must have had, in the course of transmission a copy made after 264 and before the annexation of Wu in 280. Besides the two instances of 銓 in Pre-Han times noted in "An Investigation into Wu Taboos" there is one other instance. The sixty-ninth chapter of the Yi Zhou shu 逸周書 is entitled 銓法解. As this bears no relation to the contents of the chapter, it throws no light on the problem why the graph 銓 appears only three times in Pre-Han times.
