並列摘要

Han Zhigu, one of the founding heroes of the Liao dynasty, and his family clan held enormous power and occupied a pivotal position at the Liao court. Han Kuangsi, a senior court official was the father of prime minister Yelu Longyun (Han Derang). Therefore, the inscriptions on the tombstones of the following three ihdividuals: Han Kuangsi, his wife Dame Xiao, and his grandson Yelu Zizhong, are of high historical value The cluster of the Hin Kuangsi family tombs is located along the southern slopes of the Baiyinhan Mountain in Baiyinwusula of the Balin Left Flag in Inner Mongolia. This study has identified Han Kuangsi's date of death on December the eighth, 982 A.D. From the inscriptions, it is ascertained that Han Zhigu's grandfather was named Han Yi and his father, named Han Rong, served as the "sima" of Jizhou. He had eleven sons. Among the eleven, two carried Qitan names, indicating that some upper class Han Chinese subjects in the Liao territory had been "Qitanized" This study has examined Han Kuangsi's life in great details. He had nine sons and three daughters. One of the daughters married Xiao Wei'en who gave birth to Xiao Pusage, who was eventually married to Emperor Liao Shenzhong This study also examines the genealogy and moral deeds of Han Kuangsi's wife Dame Xiao. The texts of the inscriptions incorporated numerous literary quotations which showed that the three authors were learned scholars. The text of Han Dewei's burial inscription indicated that Dewei's son was named Shuizhong who died early. That of Yelu Suizhong stated that Suizhong's grandfather was posthumously given the name Kuangsi, a.k a Changshi. His father was given the name Dechang posthumously, a.k.a. Kerou, indicating that both Han Dewei and Han Dechang had a son named Zizhong. Yelu was the honourary name bestowed by the Emperor, highlighting the importance of the alternate names The three inscriptions not only provide some supplementary facts for the history of the Liao dynasty, they also reveal the intricate relationship among the Han clan, the Liao royal Yelu clan, the clan of Empress Xiao, and the noted Han Chinese upper class families remained in the Liao territory.
