This issue includes six articles that address the changes in journalism in the ＂New Media era＂ in different Chinese societies. New Media has become a powerful tool in turning the tables on traditional authorities. Its success in inversing the power relationships among the public, traditional media and the government are examined in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mainland China.
