摘要

民國47年8月23日，中共以數百門大砲，對金門作全面的廣轟猛炸，於是引發了臺海陸、海、空的全面大戰，歷時將近兩個月，國軍獲得壓倒性的全面大捷。而陸戰隊在九二海戰中，扮演著關鍵的角色，尤以陸戰隊全體官兵在硝煙彈雨，驚濤駭浪之中，不顧個人生死，突破共軍岸砲封鎖，運補金門及最前線各島，使金門地區軍需、民生物資無虞匱乏，彈械器材源源補給，使前線防禦更加鞏固，後方民心益趨安定，在陸、海、空軍聯合作戰中發揮軍人武德的信念及陸戰隊精神，誓死圓滿達成任務。
