Drug information exchange to health literacy promoting in health care professional

Health literacy is essential for choosing way for a good health. Healthcare professionals must have the knowledge about thinking for analysis and providing on safe and appropriate treatment. History treatment is a component of health literacy which helps for analysis, decision-making and treatment for patients. In Thailand, each Database healthcare hospital system hasn't linked among the hospitals. It doesn't provide history treatment. That is a gap of system which effects on patient's safety. The purpose of the study was to develop drug information exchange system linked between Maetha Hospital and 9 Health Promoting Hospitals under the Maetha hospital. In 2018, the system has used through the program of District Health Data Center (DHDC). The samples were health care professionals which work at the Maetha hospital such as physicians, pharmacists, nurses, pharmaceutical officers and public health technical officers. There are 15 health care professionals that have been registered program. Data collection were included 2 ways 1) Length of times to search drug information from DHDC program that was randomed a test for one month. 2) The opinions of sample were used to DHDC program about appearance of program and the benefits of health literacy from program. The questionnaire were divided into 2 parts. There were a program overview and the benefits of health literacy from program which were 11 questions divided the lowest to the most. By sampling program about 120 times, The result of this study is 1.21 minute/times that average times searched drug information from DHDC program and the accuracy of data from DHDC program was 90%. Health care professional thought with DHDC program was simple and easy to use in level good at 73.3 %. And DHDC program was benefit for health literacy in very good level at 86.7 %. Therefore, That program can be linked drug information between hospitals. This will result in a seamless healthcare system. Drug information exchange between hospitals promote health literacy in health care professional provides knowledge and communicates education to patient's safety appropriately.
