As a renowned jurist during the reign of Republic of China, John C. H. Wu was also a faithful Catholic. This paper focuses on his Shengyong Yiyi Chugao, a translation of the Psalms in 1940, with the hope of discussing the interaction in this book between the Christian theology and traditional Chinese philosophical thoughts. By this means, it will give the reasons of this interaction based on the thoughts of John C. H. Wu, and finally it tries to lead the discussion into the comparison between Chinese culture and western culture.
