The title of this article is ＂An Introduction to the Traslation Model of Contextual Interpretation on the Hebrew Bible Text.＂ It is because this year is the year of memorial year for the 100 years old of Rev. Dr. Shoe-ki Coe. He is the first Taiwanese to be the President of the Tainan Theological Seminary and College and he proposed all the sudents to do theology with a contextualizing approach which is based on the incarnation of the Word as Jesus and as the divine way for carrying out the consummation of the new heaven and new earth. Therefore, the author suggests that the traslation model might be a simple and useful way for the biblical students and preachers to apply. It is a way listed in S. B. Bevans's book, Models of Contextual Theology: Faith and Cultures, which could enhance interpreters to incarnate the biblicla messages into the present context and help the church and the society getting close to the light of Jesus salvation.
