翻譯的神學－語言、直譯及翻譯策略觀念的改變
Theology in Translation: Language, Literalism andChanging Views of Translation Strategies
摘要
欲將聖經翻譯擺進神學典範（theological paradigm）中，勢必要面對幾個關鍵議題。在本篇論文中，我不打算提供涉及神學和翻譯問題的答案，而是點出一些議題，說明翻譯不可能抽離神學的情況。

It is inevitable that Bible translators come to their task with theological assumptions about what translation is and how translation of the Bible should be done. Bible readers also have their theological assumptions which establish what they expect of translations and what they will accept in new ones. This article attempts to identify a number of theological issues involved in the decision and reception of Bible translation. Theological assumptions about language, about communication, about translation, and about the Bible, will be examined respectively. This raises the question of theological distortion of ”literalism”, which will be discussed in the last section, and I propose that it is more adequate to think of translations according to the interplay between the ”accessibility” they provide and the ”distortion” they create.
