This article focuses on the formation motivation and painting style of Ling-Nan School of Painting, and specifically discusses the causes and formation process of painting school and the analysis of painting style in the article. The founders of the school, Gao Jianfu, Gao Qifeng, and Chen Shuren, referred to as "two Gao and one Chen", went to Japan to study abroad in their early years. In the traditional painting language, they not only integrated the nutrition of Western painting, but also retained the traditional Chinese brushwork. The Ling-Nan School of Painting in the early twentieth century nurtured a large number of innovative painters, and it still affects future generations. The artistic value of Ling-Nan Painting Party in modern Chinese painting is inestimable.
