The Application of Activity Teaching Method to Oral English Teaching in Primary Schools

摘要


English learning in primary school stage lays a very essential foundation for the development of students' English proficiency. Therefore, English teaching plays an important role in this stage. The main content of language competence is oral expression. However, little attention is paid to students' oral English ability in many areas in China and traditional teaching methods are adopted often, which does not conform to the trend of modern education development, nor improve students' oral English level. In order to enhance students' learning initiative and confidence to speak English, we try to apply the Activity Teaching Method in class to create relaxing and interesting scenes for primary school students and encourage them to practise their oral English.
