Resting-State Functional MRI Applications: A Literature Review

摘要


靜息態功能性核磁共振掃描開始被廣泛應用在神經血管疾病的研究當中。在這篇文章中,我們介紹並整理靜息態功能性核磁共振掃描的原理,還有許多指標和臨床應用。其中神經血管耦合(neurovascular coupling)的觀念帶動後續許多分析的方法至關重要。因為靜息態功能性核磁共振掃描操作簡單,不需執行特定任務,使得它可以應用在難以配合執行任務指令的族群中,尤其是中風的病人。

Resting-state fMRI (rs-fMRI) has been increasingly used in patients with neurovascular disorders. In this article, we introduce and summarize the principle of rs-fMRI and its clinical applications as a biomarker. One of the most important applications is to analyze the functions and integrity of neurovascular coupling. Rs-fMRI does not require subjects to perform any specific task. Therefore, rs-fMRI has an advantage when studying patients who could not cooperate with commands, such as stroke patients.
