The subject of this paper is Taiwan during the Qing dynasty. Confucianism in the Qing dynasty spread eastward to Taiwan; it included the teachings of Confucius and Mencius and Zhu Xi Studies in Fujian. Many scholars have studied Confucianism in Taiwan through history books, and the achievements have been obvious to all. This paper narrows down the scope of Confucian studies, with a focus on Zhu Xi Studies in Fujian. In order to understand the influence of Zhu Xi Studies in Fujian on Taiwan in the Qing dynasty, the author uses "human beings" as the research subject. It is hoped that an understanding of how Zhu Xi Studies in Fujian were received by Taiwan's scholars when they spread eastward to Taiwan during the Qing dynasty can be obtained via "human beings". The analysis is then used to prove that Zhu Xi Studies in Fujian had a great influence on Taiwan in the Qing dynasty.
