Literature Review on Quantifier Teaching in Teaching Chinese as A Foreign Language

摘要

The abundance of individual quantifiers is a major feature of the Chinese system and one of the difficulties in Chinese teaching. Quantifiers are words that express the quantitative units of things or behaviors, and are also called unit words. Most Chinese learners have few quantifiers in their mother tongue. Some have quantifiers, but they are few in number and different from modern Chinese quantifiers. Some meanings and usages overlap, but they interfere with each other and easily lead to errors. Therefore, in order to help foreign learners to learn and absorb quantifiers in Chinese better, it is necessary not only to study the characteristics of quantifiers from ontology, but also to analyze the errors in learning and using different quantifiers, and to explore more effective teaching strategies and methods from a practical perspective. In this paper, we will read the literature, compare the literature, sort out the logic and summarize the viewpoints.
