China is facing a urgent water scarcity issue, and the current resolution-South‐North Water Transfer Project can no longer sustain the water consumption in China. The Chinese government should consider other plans to resolve the water scarcity issue, and this research propose that restore the groundwater resources in China can be a feasible way to gather more clean water resources. By regulating industrial and agricultural waste, and address urban domestic pollution, the contaminants to the groundwater resource can be eliminated. In addition, the government can implement groundwater remediation technologies such as In‐Situ Chemical Oxidation and In situ Bioremediation, which are effective methods to purify groundwater. Combining the resolutions as presented above can lead to progress of increasing water yield in china, and the groundwater can be restored to alleviate the water scarcity problem in China.
