Research on the Strategies of the Preservation and Inheritance of Traditional Folk Houses: A Case Study of the Preservation and Renovation of Yongding Earth Building Cultural Village

摘要


Traditional folk houses, which are a heritage of Chinese cultural treasures, exhibit and record the changes of people's lifestyle, social transformation and so on. Today, traditional folk houses have their advantages and show the wisdom of Chinese people, but there are still some problems that cannot meet the housing needs of modern people. In modern times, earth building, which is a kind of Chinese traditional folk houses, has gradually declined. With the diminution of the number of earth building, the culture it carries is fading away. Therefore, how to better protect inherit the earth building culture, improve the residential environment and meet the demands of people lives is worthy of our deep thinking and research. In this thesis, the preservation and renovation of the earth buildings in Yongding cultural village will be analyzed, and the current residential environment status and the significance of protecting and renovating of the village will be expounded. Then some tactics of conserving and inheriting the earth building culture will be proposed. Hopefully, this thesis could provide some reference ideas for the protection and revival of traditional folk houses.
