Group cooperative learning is an educational approach which aims to organize classroom activities into academic and social learning experiences. Five essential elements are identified for the successful incorporation of group cooperative learning in the classroom: positive interdependence; individual and group accountability; promotive interaction (face to face); teaching the children the required interpersonal and small group skills; group processing. Group cooperative learning helps hearing-impaired children achieve more and think critically, groups pool their knowledge and skills, which can often help them solve more complex problems or deliver better products than individuals alone can do.
