The employment patterns of graduates (particularly university graduates) have garnered interest from many areas of life over the years. Higher education is sometimes viewed as the backbone of future human resource supply since it develops higher levels of knowledge and competence. For many students, companies, and career services professionals in higher education, the focus is on graduate courses (often employer-designed rotational courses aimed to give a breadth of experience and some extra, generally professional training). However, many graduates from graduate degrees will not enter the work market. Internships are often regarded to increase students' employability and academic advancement. The purpose of this essay is to integrate the USEM, CareerEDGE, and The Solent Capital Compass models in order to assess, evaluate, and reflect on Katrina, a recent college graduate.
