A Study of Contract Staff Social Worker's Professional Role in Small-Scale Taiwanese Long Term Care Facilities

摘要

臺灣住宿型長照機構以小型機構占多數，為回應評鑑與照顧品質，納入社會工作人員加入團隊。然因小型機構受限於經營規模影響，多採用特約方式聘請社工人員，其專業角色的發展卻少有探討。本研究探討小型長照機構聘用特約社工人員執行專業服務之過程與經驗，採用質性研究方法，運用半結構式訪談進行深度訪談，共訪談十二位於住宿型長照機構提供服務之特約社工。研究顯示小型機構已陸續建構專業角色，但整合性仍有待改善，特約社工人員的角色受限於工作時間及團隊分工整合程度影響，漸次發展長期照顧領域的社會工作專業角色。研究建議能發展聘僱單位與小型機構間的合作策略，建構專業及行政督導制度，運用網絡協調機制，有助於新進社工人員的實務工作技能養成及工作困境之因應，進而落實老人社會工作者的專業角色。

The majority of long term care facility are small-sized long-term care facilities in Taiwan. In order to respond to the quality of care and to meet the requirements of accreditation, includes social workers to join the team. However, due to the limited of small-sized long-term care facilities, social workers are hired by contract staff, the development of professional roles is rarely discussed. This article explained the professional development experiences of contract staff social workers. This research applied qualitative methods, using field observations and in-depth interviews to collect data. Interviewees included 12 contract staff social workers participated in this study. The research results indicated that multiple disciples have joined the LTC team; however, the cooperation and coordination among team members may require further improvement. The contract staff social workers were limited by working hours and the degree of teamwork integration, Then Pursuing Better Efficiency'. Vacillation between the specialist and generalist role. Besides, gradually develop the professional role of social work in long term care facility. This study recommends that employment organizations and small-sized long-term care facilities cooperation Strategies. Using social work and administrative supervision to enhance professional effectiveness, construction of network coordination mechanism., it will be very beneficial to the cultivation of practical working skills and coping ability of novice social workers. can fulfill the professional role of geriatric social workers.
