The inheritance of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinical experience is a crucial issue in modern TCM education and development, with renowned senior TCM doctors playing a pivotal role in bridging generations. However, Taiwan's progress in this area has been slow, with insufficient capacity for preservation and research, leading to the ineffective transmission of valuable academic knowledge and clinical expertise. This paper reviews the current state of research in journal articles, publications and government-commissioned projects and provides a detailed analysis of the "Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy Development Act" and related regulations. The core issue is the lack of a systematic selection and inheritance mechanism. To address this, the paper proposes several practical solutions: establishing a list of renowned senior TCM doctors, constructing relevant databases, developing training programs for successors, and strengthening the curricular design of institutional education. These measures aim to enhance the transmission and development of Taiwan's TCM education and clinical quality.
