數位典藏－學甲慈濟宮葉王交趾陶文物館

古交趾陶是臺灣重要的藝術瑰寶，在眾多古老廟宇的交趾陶裝飾，首推葉王之作最爲精采，而且葉王也是台灣在地交趾陶的始祖。然而葉王交趾陶風化（weathering）、劣化（deterioration）與老化（aging）問題嚴重，若依現在老化的速度，葉王作品的風采於十數年後即可能消失殆盡。因此，本團隊基於全方位的保存概念，我們投入數位保存（Digital preservation），希望透過數位科技保存葉王留存在學甲慈濟宮作品之真實影像，以便提供後人保存修復參考。在本研究中，本團隊除整理葉王交趾陶於交趾陶文物館所有作品的參考資料，建置完成後設資料庫（metadata），而在影像方面則以專業儀器反覆測色校驗，力求與實體色彩一致，完成館藏一百餘件葉王作品之正面影像，並以實體顯微鏡（stereomicroscope）拍攝作品細節特徵，也利用攝影機拍攝館內33尊有底座作品之動態影像（object movie）。另外也精選六件葉王作品以自行開發的環物攝影架、無影燈與網頁程式，完成互動式3D環物影像（3D object movie）。所有的數位典藏資料整合於葉王交趾陶數位典藏網站，並透過數位傳播開放予研究人員查詢使用及一般社會大眾欣賞葉王作品的精妙。

Ancient Koji pottery was one of the most valuable artistic masterpieces in Taiwan. Among all the Koji pottery decorations on historical temples, the most fascinating works were the artifacts made by Yeh, Wang, who was also the pioneer of local Taiwanese Koji pottery artists. However, problems on the Koji pottery such as weathering, deterioration, and aging were severe and devastating. If the current speed of corrosion continues, the splendid works of Yeh, Wang could not be seen within more than a decade. Therefore, our conservation team had based on the concept of conservation on all aspects, and we applied digital preservation into this conservation work. By recording the real images of Yeh, Wang's masterpieces in the Tzu-chi Temple of Syuejia Township through digital technologies, we look forward to provide detailed information for further restoration purposes in the future. In this research, all reference information from the Koji pottery museum of Yeh, Wang were organized and collected to form the metadata. The colors of the images were verified through professional instruments in repeated sequences, in order to ensure that the images were as perfect as the original artifact. After shooting about a hundred of the frontal images of Yeh, Wang's Koji pottery works, recorded the details and slight differences on the artifacts by the stereomicroscope, and filmed object movies of the 33 artifacts with its foundation, the team had chosen 6 brilliant works made by Yeh, Wang and completed a special interactive 3D object movie by the self-made object orbiting recorder, shadow-less lamp and a online program. All the information of digital preservation were then combined with the Yeh, Wang's Koji pottery digital preservation website, which was opened to the public through the internet, allowing researchers to access for studies or web users to explore the extraordinariness of Yeh, Wang's Koji pottery.
