國立故宮博物院藏〈西清續鑑鏡匣〉之研究與修復

摘要

國立故宮博物院（以下簡稱故宮）原藏有漢唐銅鏡24面，但無鏡匣。院方於民國九十九年順利購藏〈西清續鑑．甲編〉鏡匣10個，使得銅鏡和鏡匣得以合璧。這批鏡匣製作精美，惟有蟲蛀缺損之憾，無法立即公開展示。一○一年，故宮獲法國巴黎銀行基金贊助修復〈西清續鑑．甲編〉第三十冊〈唐神人鑑〉鏡匣。院方隨即組織團隊，啟動修復計畫，並將初步成果，出版於《故宮文物月刊》352期。事竣後，在先前研究基礎下，又陸續將其餘9個鏡匣完成修復。本文旨在介紹故宮研究和修復鏡匣之始末：首先，探究10個鏡匣在流傳過程中的傷損成因，並對其進行修復評估；同時，為使修復安全並符合預期效果，透過模擬修復試驗，確認將綾布、紙張、木材分開補洞後再予以合併，為最適合之修復方式；最後總結修復成果。此一歷時多年的鏡匣修復案，除可認識宮廷文物，類似材質和形式文物修復之參考外，對於評估修復和模擬修復的程序，亦可為今日文物修復更為完善之取徑。

The National Palace Museum (NPM) originally collected twenty four Han-Tang bronze mirrors, but without the mirror case. In 2010, NPM purchased ten mirror cases ＂Xi Qing Xu Jian, Part I＂, so that the bronze mirrors and the mirror cases could finally be combined together. These mirror cases were exquisite and delicate but were damaged by insects, and so were not be able to be exhibited to the public. In 2012, The National Palace Museum was sponsored by BNP Paribas Foundation to treat the 30 th volume ＂Tang Shen Ren Jian＂ from ＂Xi Qing Xu Jian, Part I＂. NPM soon organized a team to start the restoration project, and published the first result in ＂The National Palace Museum Monthly of Chinese Art＂ vol. 352. Based on these initial results and additional research, the treatments of the other nine mirror cases were also completed gradually. This article is focused on the whole process of the treatment and research for the mirror cases conservation: first, to discover the causes of the damages during the time, and then to evaluate methods for restoration. To achieve the anticipate result, test restorations were made to determine the best method for filling holes in the paper and wood and make up losses to the damask silk. This treatment project lasted for several years but provided an opportunity to know more about the royal collections, and also can be seen as references for the treatment of similar objects in the future.
