One principle runs through it all. The party organizations at all levels in China have conscientiously implemented Xi Jinping's new socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics and consistently promoted the strict administration of the party. This has set the direction for the specific requirements of Party building in the Grass‐roots party organizations at colleges and universities. Grassroots party organizations in Colleges and universities are the main positions of the party in Colleges and universities, which play an important role in cultivating and shaping outstanding young Party members. They shoulder the historical responsibility of developing the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, building a socialist modern power in an all‐round way, and realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Therefore, we should gradually promote and implement grassroots party organizations with stricter standards and higher requirements The main responsibility of the construction of the party organization is the only way for the reform of higher education, and it is also the inevitable requirement for higher education to develop better. This paper starts with the current situation of the implementation of the party's main responsibility and the corresponding countermeasures to the existing problems, and deeply analyzes the relevant functions of the Grass‐roots party organizations in Colleges and universities and the role they should play.
