Chinese Translators' Opinions on Cultural Differences in Chinese Classics Translation

摘要

Compared with traditional translation studies, Medio‐translatology, a branch of comparative studies, tends to study translation from the perspective of culture. Chinese Classic works symbolize Chinese wisdom and spirit. This article tends to study the principles and strategies applied in translating Chinese culture from the perspective of Medio‐translatology. The translation process of Chinese classic works should be interdisciplinary and culture‐oriented, aiming at instructing the culture involved and avoiding cultural revulsion.
