摘要

觀察城市、解讀城市、體驗城市並非專業者的專利，應是市民享有的權利。論到城市是由場景構成，而場景是有語法的。本研究以場所精神作為基礎，藉由觀察、體驗台北城內；包含隱藏的相互依賴性、看不見的力量，以及人們何以在城市裡那樣移動、聚集、停留，和表現種種行為姿態的不成文規定。這些日常生活場景對我們來說並不陌生；我們早已將這些場景視為既定的行為準則和熟悉的生活模式。因此，藉由對城市直接觀察、漫遊體驗將被動化為主動；對城市空間外在感官的歷史表列，不僅被動地欣賞這些場景，更鼓勵大家「觀察」其意義－了解形塑一個地方的力量，以及這些力量是如何營造其特殊氛圍－場所精神。

Observing the city, interpreting the city, and experiencing the city are not the patents of professionals, but the rights of citizens.
