Master Hsing Yun devoted all his life to religious harmony with the hope of promoting world peace through religions. Master Hsing Yun's perspective of the world emphasizes the religion tolerance, and is a typical attitude of religious Inclusivism. It is featured by the idea of using "Buddha's world" to harmonize and unite the other religions, in order to realizes the dream of the humanity: harmony, peace and happiness. Based on the Buddhist theory of pratitya-samutpada, Master Hsing Yun elaborated on the concepts including oneness and coexistence, equity and peace, respect and tolerance, etc., which laid the foundation of his thoughts on religious harmony. Throughout his life, Master Hsing Yun built solid trust and deep friendship with people from different religions, which has been considered a successful practice of his thoughts of religious harmony. Through the Buddhist temples and schools operated by Fo Guang Shan, Master Hsing Yun kept a lasting and wide dialogue and communication with different religious groups around the world and accumulated the resources for harmonization among different religions.
