唯心淨土與西方淨土之學理依據及其人間踐行

摘要


唯心淨土與往生西方淨土具有不同的佛學學理依據,但其中也有相通之處。本文分析了其中異同,指明其相通之處即為兩條踐行途徑會通之處。同時,作者認為近現代社會中激進派與保守派都各自存在思想誤區,這就導致了把這兩大淨土對立起來。相反,太虛大師及其許多弟子都表示了對西方淨土的肯定;印光大師也對太虛不無友好表示,在蘇州靈岩山寺也實行了寺院制度改革,他的「彌陀淨土,總在吾人一念心性中,則阿彌陀佛,我心本具。既是我心本具,固當常念;既能常念,則感應道交」論述更是架起了唯心淨土與往生西方淨土之間的橋樑。創造建設人間淨土的學理依據不出此外。由此,在兩岸四地乃至海外華人佛教實踐中,由自淨其心出發,建設以寺院、教團為中心的此岸一方淨土;在往生西方淨土的朗照下在此岸積累資糧,這對人間淨土建設也頗有貢獻;這兩條途徑都體現了創造建設人間淨土的可操作性,香港佛教亦有實證。

The mind-only pure land and the western pure land are based on different Buddhist theories, but they also have something in common. This paper analyzes the similarities and differences between them, pointing out that they have common characters in practice. The author argues that there is a mistake, leading to the opposition of the two kinds of pure land. However, Master Taixu and many of his disciples all accepted the western pure land. And Master Yinguang also supports Master Taixu's opinion. He reforms the system of Lingyan Temple, and he thinks Amitābha consists in the heart of everyone and the western pure land is always in everybody mind only. Since Amitābha is the our nature, we can get the Amitābha's help by the remembrance of the Buddha's name. Master Yinguang builds a bridge of The Mind-only Pure Land and the western pure land. The theory t of humanistic pure land can be built according to Master Taixu and Master Yinguang's thoughts. This way, Chinese Buddhism in mainland China and oversea have developed temples through the pure mind as this shore in practice, as well as collecting the resources to go the western pure land after died. The two ways can make help with the humanist pure land theory which have been accomplished, and Buddhism in Hong Kong is a good example.
