人間佛教的理論承傳與實踐開展－從天台智顗到佛光星雲的詮釋進路

摘要

天台智顗大師判釋佛陀一代教法，將《妙法蓮華經》分判為第五時所說之圓教，指出《妙法蓮華經》具體闡明一切眾生皆可悟入佛之知見，與佛無二無別，乃是暢佛本懷之教化。倡導佛教即是人間佛教的佛光星雲大師，亦強調人間佛教即是佛陀本懷，也因此，遠見、天下文化事業群發行人王力行以「超越宗教的智慧與慈悲」來詮釋星雲本懷。本論文首先從天台智顗重視《妙法蓮華經》如何暢佛本懷的詮釋，具體論述天台教觀的生命關懷與人間實踐，其次則闡釋佛光星雲宣揚佛陀本懷所大力推行的人間佛教，最終則依前列之具體論述，進而將二者對照比較，以期能論證從天台智顗到佛光星雲，實蘊含了人間佛教理論承傳的思想脈絡，以及人間修證的實踐開展。

Tiantai Zhiyi judged the Buddha's insightful teachings in Wonderful Dharma Lotus Sutra as the Complete Teaching at the 5th periods, and pointed out all sentient beings can be enlightened into the Buddha's wisdom, and there is no difference between them and the Buddha proclaimed in Wonderful Dharma Lotus Sutra . Nothing else is the edification of Buddhism Venerable Master Hsing Yun Advocates Buddhism has to be the Humanistic Buddhism and emphasizes what the Humanistic Buddhism is the origins of Buddhism. And that's the reason Wang Lixing, the publisher of Tien-Xia Groups, praises the origins of Hsing Yun as ＂wisdom and compassion transcending religions＂. In this paper, the author describes at first how Tiantai Zhiyi valued the origins of Buddhism in Wonderful Dharma Lotus Sutra and the life care and humanistic practice of the Tiantai Teachings and Meditation. Secondly, the author analyzes the Humanistic Buddhism promoted by Venerable Master Hsing Yun as the origins of Buddhism. According to the comparison of specific expositions between both approaches, the author demonstrates the theoretical contexts, practical expositions and the historical heritages of the Humanistic Buddhism.
