樂齡學習中心正念課程對提升樂齡者幸福感之探究

Enhancing the Well-Being of Elderly Learner through the Senior Citizens Learning Center's Mindfulness-Based Program

摘要


本研究以樂齡學習中心正念課程對樂齡學習者提升幸福感之探究。研究對象以個案樂齡學習中心之樂齡者為對象,採用行動研究法,探究正念課程提升樂齡學習者幸福感。本研究發展的正念課程依課程教案設計流程進行,課程活動主要分別依暖身活動、發展活動、心靈沉澱活動。研究結果發現:正念課程對樂齡學習者有良好的學習感受,正念課程對樂齡學習者可提升幸福感狀態,經由學員參與回饋可感受身心狀態的正向轉變;然而,場地設備、堂數不足、參與人數控管及因對象為樂齡者的課程設計相較以往相關課程需做部分改變,教學節奏的調整、資料蒐集的方式都須有必要的調整適應。最後根據研究討論與結論,提出實務建議以提供樂齡教師改進與未來研究之參考。

This study explored the effectiveness of the Mindfulness-Based Program at a senior center in improving the well-being of elderly learners. An action research approach was adopted with elderly members of Senior Citizen Learning Centers in North Taiwan as participants. The program was designed based on theories of well-being, and consists of three main activities in sequence, including warming up, following up, and meditation/deep thought. The result revealed that elderly participants reported producing more positive emotions, as well as increasing their well-being, as a result of taking part in the Mindfulness-Based Program. Additionally, their physical and mental health have improved significantly. However, there were a few challenges encountered during the course, such as adjusting the course design and teaching pace to accommodate limited equipment, space, course hours and participants. This also impacts the data collection methods. On the basis of the discussion and the conclusion, some suggestions are made for teachers' improvement as well as for further research.
