般若心經漢譯研究
Chinese Translations of the Sutra of the Heart of Prajna

The nine extant Chinese translations of the ＂Prajnaparamita Hrdaya Sutra＂ are here studied comparatively against the Sanskrit original and the Tibetan version which played a role in the translation of the sutra into Chinese. Topics of the 11 sections of the article include: Title of the sutra; The name ＂Avolokitesvara＂; Old and new translations of ＂panca skandha＂; Rendition of the clause about the conveyance through all sufferings and passes; Grammar of the sentence beginning with Bodhisattva; The passage stating that prajnaparamita is a dharani spell.
