設計專業表達之教學創新實踐

Innovative Teaching Practices for Design Professional Expression

摘要


我國技職教育以「培養具備實作力、創新力及就業力之專業技術人才」為願景,強調學生實作能力的養成,課程注重實務教學,目的在培養學生畢業後具備進入職場應用的能力。科大學生缺乏表達的機會與訓練溝通的場合,表達能力不足、不敢上台說話或是詞不達意,以至於影響設計思考與想像力發揮,已經成為普遍的現象。如何藉由引導表達的創新教學設計,促進學生溝通表達的技巧,成為當前科大設計教育的重要課題。設計專業表達透過創新之教學活動設計,將口語肢體表達、圖文模表達的能力提升,作為行動研究的目標,研究以一年級學生為研究對象,藉由表達工作坊和跨領域輔助課程,學習如何應用3D列印設備,從三維空間進行設計思考。採前後測量與學習成果,進行學習成效評估。經由半結構式專家訪談,探討科技設備與創新課程對於專業表達的作用。研究發現:創新教學課程對於學生的口語表達與圖文模表達,具有相當正面的效果影響力,表達工作坊與設計表達跨域課程,有益於基礎表達能力與專業表達。3D列印輔助模型製作有益於設計思考,可更邏輯地構成設計與擴展設計。

Our vision for technical education is "to cultivate professional and technical talents with practical skills, innovation and employment", emphasizing the development of students' practical skills. It has become a common phenomenon that HKUST students lack the opportunity to express themselves and communicate with each other, and that their lack of expression, fear of speaking on stage, or lack of clarity affects their design thinking and imagination. How to promote students' communication and expression skills through innovative teaching and learning designs that guide expression has become an important issue in design education at KU. Through innovative design of teaching activities, the Design Professional Expressions project aims to enhance oral and physical expressions and graphic expressions as an action research. Pre- and post-measurements and learning outcomes were used to assess the effectiveness of learning. Semi-structured expert interviews were conducted to explore the role of technological devices and innovative curriculum for professional expression. The study found that the innovative teaching curriculum has a positive effect on students' oral and graphic expression, the expression workshop and the cross-disciplinary design expression curriculum are beneficial to basic expression and professional expression, and the 3D printing-assisted model making is beneficial to design thinking, which can be more logically constructed and extended.
