Objective: To investigate the relationship between colorectal neoplasm and gastric Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection . Methods: A total of 853 patients underwent colonoscopic and gastroscopic checks at the same time were collected. According to the colonoscopic and pathologic results, the patients were divided into colorectal neoplasm and non-colorectal neoplasm groups. The difference in Hp infection rate between both groups was compared. The relationship between the number and nature of colorectal neoplasm and Hp infection rate were analyzed. Results: Positive rate of Hp infection was 24.2% in the colorectal neoplasm group and 18.1% in the non-neoplasm group, the difference of infection rate in both groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significance between colorectal neoplasm and Hp infection (P>0.05). Conclusion: Hp infection can increase the risk of colorectal neoplasm.
