高齡者對醫療場域指示標誌圖示之視認度調查

A survey on the legibility of the elderly on the medical field Indicator System Icon

摘要


近年人口高齡化已經逐漸成為各先進國家,需密切關注的議題之一。截至2021一月底,台灣地區六十五歲以上之人口已經達到380.4萬,而國家發展委員會推估2025年台灣也將成為超高齡化社會,其相關隱憂也將隨之浮現。未來也因少子化與扶老比下降之問題,而有越來越多高者需獨身面對生活自理的問題,單獨前往醫療院所的就醫比例也將隨之提高,為增加醫療品質與醫療院所的機能,指示標誌圖示的視認度成為我們值得深究的議題,已增加高齡者就醫時的便利性與舒適性。本研究聚焦於指示標誌圖示視認度調查,其範圍設定臺灣大學醫學院附設醫院雲林分院、斗六慈濟醫院和成功大學醫學院附設醫院斗六分院,共三間調查場域,透過專家訪談法及半結構式問卷,探討高齡者對斗六三間醫院指示標誌圖示與文字意義之間的聯想力。研究結果發現十二個圖示中,其中有三個為100%的高視認度圖示,本研究推論均為成長經驗中常見的造型或情境,而其中低於67%的四個低視認度圖示所使用的元素組合使高齡者較無法理解,研究成果可提供相關人員做後續視認加強與應用發展之參考依據。

In recent years, the aging of the population has gradually become one of the topics that need to be paid close attention to in advanced countries. As of the end of January 2021, the population over the age of 65 had reached 3.804 million in Taiwan. The National Development Commission estimates that Taiwan will become a super-aging society in soon 2025 with the related concerns emerged as well. Due to the problems of low birthrate and the decline in the ratio of supporting the elderly, more and more of them need to face the problem of self-care in life alone while the increase of proportion medical treatment. In order to upgrade the quality of medical care and the function of institutions, the visual recognition of the indicator icon has become a worthable issue for us to study in-depth, and the ways of how to increase the convenience and comfort for elder people when searching medical treatment. This study focused on the visual recognition survey of the indicator sign icons, the scope of which was set up in National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch, Douliou Tzu Chi Hospital and National Cheng Kung University Hospital Douliu Branch. With a total of three survey sites, this research investigated through expert interviewed method and semi-structured questionnaire to explore the literal meaning of indicator icon from the sights of the elderly's. The results of the study found that three of the twelve icons were considered as 100% high visual recognition icons, which were classified as common shapes or the situation happened in the growth experience. The combination of four low-visual recognition icons which were lower than 69.9% make it more incomprehensible to the elderly. Ultimately, the results of the study provide relevant personnel with a reference basis for recognition enhancement and application development.
