For some patients who need to use a ventilator for a long time, the dry and cold air causing dry and cracked mouth is one of the most unpleasant side effects. At present, heating and humidifying breathing therapy is used to prevent the above situation from happening; however, the breathing circuit has the disadvantage of easy accumulation of water and choking into the trachea of the case for a long time. This research uses newly developed materials to increase the water vapor evaporation rate of the breathing circuit, so that the condensation rate of water in the circuit is reduced, thereby reducing the amount of condensed water. The experiments in this study have proved that the tube using this breathable material has a much reduced effect on condensation compared with the commercially available tube under the same breathing therapy mode.
