摘要


圖像被廣泛運用於理解資訊及學習的輔助,而健康傳播做為傳達健康知識給大眾的角色,圖像的存在更是不可或缺。現今國內健康傳播發展成熟,傳播管道多元、使用圖像形式多樣,但哪一種圖像對於理解醫學資訊具最佳的效果是值得探討的問題。閱聽人對圖像的感受、反應進一步影響其行為,因此圖像可以改變觀看者遵守健康指示並幫助理解醫學、健康知識,研究也顯示出圖像使用的效果對於識字能力較低的患者更為明顯,圖像應用於醫學、健康資訊傳播的相關研究指出,與純文字相比,包含圖像的資訊內容對於讀者理解具更加的效果,圖像也有增加吸引力、輔助文字說明的作用,而簡單的圖像因減少注意力分散,與複雜圖像相較之下在促進理解方面更為有效。但考量到醫學、健康資訊的主題多樣與資訊的呈現方式,且受眾具身分、年齡和閱讀能力上的差異,這些因素都可能影響圖像對資訊理解的幫助。

Images are widely used as an aid to understanding information and learning, and as a role of health communication to convey health knowledge to the public, the existence of images is even more indispensable. At present, domestic health communication is mature, with multiple communication channels and various forms of images used, but it is worth discussing which image has the best effect on understanding medical information. Readers' feelings and reactions to images further affect their behavior, so images can change the viewer's compliance with health instructions and help to understand medical and health knowledge. Studies have also shown that the use of images is more effective for patients with lower literacy skills. Obviously, the relevant research on the application of images to medical and health information communication pointed out that compared with plain text, the information content containing images is more effective for readers to understand, and images also have the effect of increasing attractiveness and supporting text descriptions. Simple images are more effective in promoting understanding than complex images due to reduced distraction. However, considering the diversity of medical and health information topics and the way information is presented, as well as the differences in audience identity, age, and reading ability, these factors may affect the help of images for information understanding.
