女性尋求輔助與替代療法(CAM)經驗之研究

摘要

背景與目的 近幾十年以來，全世界使用輔助與替代療法的情形愈來愈普遍，不只是罹病的人尋求協助，健康的人也運用其來養生保健；而研究顯示，女性較男性常使用輔助與替代療法。隨著時代變遷，女性議題興起，女性醫療與健康也開始被重視。本研究目的在於經由質性研究方法，深度探討女性使用輔助與替代療法的具體經驗，描繪台灣現今女性出現此就醫現象的原因，期以本研究作為未來醫療體系改革的一小步，使女性健康得以受到重視。

研究方法 於2010年1月至2010年4月，採立意取樣，共訪談一年內曾在某整合醫學診所就診過之女性個案九位，年齡介於25-61歲。在與每位受訪者進行訪談之前，會說明訪談目的與進行方式，再依半結構式訪談指引做約一小時面對面的深入訪談及錄音，並同時將訪談重點加以摘記，再將訪談錄音繕打成逐字稿分析。

結果 女性尋求CAM之經驗涵蓋四大主題：健康意識、使用CAM之分析、過去與現在以及選擇與影響。健康意識涵蓋生活型態與健康、身體訊息與預防保健及精神與心理健康；使用CAM之分析涵蓋使用CAM之動機、對CAM之認知及CAM之體驗；過去與現在涵蓋過去求醫與用藥之經驗及現在求醫與用藥習慣之轉變；選擇與影響涵蓋選擇CAM的因素及影響他人面對健康的態度。

Background and Objective It’s common for people to use complementary and alternative therapies in the world in recent years. Not only sick people look for help but also healthy people use it to keep in good health. Research has shown that women take complementary and alternative medicine more often than men. As time change, feminine subject is to rise and develop. Feminine treatment and health gets much attention now. The purpose of this study is to deeply discuss women who take the complementary and alternative medicine. By using quality research method to depict the reasons why women use the complementary and alternative medicine. We want to make progress to reform future health care system and get the health of women to think highly.

Methods From January to April in 2010, we use purposive sampling. The source of the research cases are from integrative medicine clinic in Taipei. We interview with women who saw the doctor in one year. There are nine women whose ages are between twenty-five to sixty-one years old. Before interviewing with those respondents, we tell them the method and purpose of this conversation. According to semi-structured interview guide, we deeply interview with the respondents and record what they said in one hour. We take note of the conversation and type the record to make analysis.

Results The experience of woman who have taken CAM representing four subjects: awareness of health, the exploration of using CAM, past and current experience, and their options and effect. The awareness of health includes life styles, the body message and preventive care, and spiritual and mental health. The exploration of using CAM contains the motivation, the understanding and the experience. Past and current experience involves the transformation of treatment and drug administering behavior. Options and effect includes the reasons to choose CAM and people’s attitude toward health.
