本論文主要的研究方向,是以個案分析的方法,利用網路效應、長尾理論、以及五力分析等研究架構,以Sun Microsystems為例,分析目前Web2.0的市場環境,Web 2.0 對IT環境的影響,以及Web2.0網路服務提供者和高科技平台廠商之間的競合關係,並且試圖為Sun Microsystems 在Web 2.0的市場中,找出可能獲利的策略定位。
The scope of this thesis is to analyze the current Web 2.0 phenomena, its effects on IT industry, co-petitions between Web 2.0 service providers, participators and platform manufacturers. It is aimed at identifying possible competitive strategies for IT company such as Sun Microsystems, based on models of network effects, long tail theory and five forces analysis.
