網頁使用者資料漫遊

Smartphone has been one of the most important technologies in recent years. When it is combined with the new HTML5 standard, mobile web applications can leverage resources from cloud services, growing their popularity among smartphone users. However, with the new specification providing to these applications, their execution contexts may be inconsistent among a user's multiple devices, making different application experiences. We proposed a system that synchronizes the execution contexts in order to achieve the concept of data roaming for web applications in cloud computing. The system ensures that data is up-to-date before used and employs our data control mechanism to provide a convenient service like Dropbox does. Our performance evaluation shows that the proposed system is feasible in practice, with less than 40% extra time under 3G connection, and suggests directions for the future investigation.
