身體意象及社交焦慮對網路成癮之影響:學生從十年級至大二追蹤資料之分析

摘要


目的:本研究目的在瞭解學生身體意象及社交焦慮對於其網路成癮之影響。方法:使用兒童及青少年行為之長期發展研究(簡稱CABLE計畫)資料庫,以2007至2011年的部份資料進行次級資料分析,共有1820人成為本研究之分析樣本。運用群體基礎軌跡模型及複迴歸分析,驗證本研究的假設。結果:1. 研究樣本在10至11年級的身體意象變化類型,可分成以下四種:(1)持續不滿意組,佔49.9%;(2)持續滿意組,佔27.2%;(3)滿意變不滿意組,佔12.0%;(4)不滿意變滿意組,佔10.9%。2. 社交焦慮的發展軌跡類型可區分為(1)持續低組,佔39.0%;(2)持續中等組,佔48.7%;(3)持續高組,佔12.3%。3. 網路成癮程度之測量,總分介於0~30之間,研究樣本之平均得分為11.47。其中,低分者(0~4分)佔18.6%;中等者(5~18分)佔67.5%;高分者(19~30分)佔14.0%。4. 研究樣本於高中時期之「身體意象的變化類型」及「社交焦慮的發展軌跡類型」,皆能有效預測其就讀大二時的網路成癮程度。5. 研究樣本同儕支持的發展軌跡類型,也顯著影響其網路成癮程度。結論:本研究發現,有一半以上的學生,在高中時期就對自己的身體不滿意,故建議透過學校教育,教導學生對「身體意象」有正確的認知與態度。本研究另發現,負面的身體意象與日後的網路成癮有顯著關係,建議及早對身體意象不滿意者,教導他們正確的體重控制方法。最後發現,社交焦慮和同儕支持對日後的網路成癮有顯著影響,建議學校和家長多教導學生有關社交的技巧,並多鼓勵其與同儕互動,以避免陷入網路成癮行為。

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to understand the influence of students’ body image and social anxiety to their internet addiction. Methods: Data from “Child and Adolescent Behavior in Long-term Evolution (CABLE) project” from 2007 to 2011 were used for secondary data analysis. Total of 1,820 students were recruited . Group-based Trajectory model and multiple regression were used in the statistical analysis to verify assumptions of the study. Results: 1. There were four changeful patterns of body image from 10th to 11th grade : persistent un-satisfaction group (49.9%), persistent satisfaction group (27.2%), satisfaction to un-satisfaction group (12.0%), and un-satisfaction to satisfaction group (10.9%). 2. There were three developmental trajectory patterns of social anxiety: persistent low group(39.0%), persistent medium group(48.7%), and persistent high group(12.3%) 3. The average score of degree of Internet addiction in sophomore was 11.47. 18.6% in 0 to 4 points, 67.5% in 5 to 18 points, 14.0% in 19 to 30 points. 4. Changeful patterns of body image and trajectory patterns of social anxiety in high school could effectively predict the degree of Internet addiction in sophomore . 5. The developmental trajectory patterns of peer support also significantly influenced the degree of Internet addiction. Conclusion: More than half of students in high school were not satisfied with their body image, it was recommended to teach students the correct awareness and attitudes of body image. Another founding was negative body image significantly affected Internet addiction, it was suggested to teach students who are not satisfied with their body image the correct methods of weight control early. This study also found that social anxiety and peer support also significantly influenced Internet addiction, It was recommended to teach students the social skills, and encourage them to interact with peers.
